'Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor,' commonly known as 'Fur Elise,' is one of Beethoven's most popular compositions, although it was not published until 40 years after his death. The piece is in rondo form, with the famous opening melody reappearing several times throughout the piece. Almost everyone who plays the piano will have learned the first section early on, although the middle of the piece features some more virtuosic passages. 'Fur Elise' works well in period dramas and romantic scenes. This is a solo harp arrangement, with the music transposed up slightly.

'Prelude No. 1 in C major' is the first prelude of J.S. Bach's 'The Well-Tempered Clavier.' This collection of preludes and fugues in all 24 major and minor keys, dated 1722, is generally regarded as one of the most influential works in the history of Western classical music. The music consists almost entirely of rising broken chords, which gives the piece a calming, romantic and majestic quality. This lends itself very well to period drama soundtracks, and any scene where ideas of dignity and beauty need to be complemented by music.
